<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><b>GANGTOK, (IPR):</b><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif"> Thousands
of devotees, monks and dignitaries participated today in the sacred final
journey and enshrinement ceremony of the ‘Kudung’ of the Fourth Dodrupchen
Rinpoche, Kyabgon Dodrupchen Jigme Thupten Trinley Palzangpo.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">The
sacred procession commenced from Tsamkhang at the Lukshyama Royal Crematorium
campus and proceeded to Deorali Chorten Gonpa through a grand ‘Serbang’
procession conducted in accordance with traditional Buddhist rituals and
monastic observances. Devotees lined the route to offer prayers, khadas and
floral tributes, while monasteries, Buddhist organisations, schools and
community groups accorded ceremonial receptions at various points.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">At
around 3 pm, the sacred cortège reached Deorali Chorten Gonpa, where it was
ceremonially received by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, along with minister Sonam
Lama, Gyalsey Prince Palden Namgyal and other dignitaries.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">Following
the counsel of eminent Lamas, a golden reliquary stupa was prepared at Deorali
Chorten Gonpa as the final resting place of the sacred Kudung. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">On
the occasion, the Chief Minister offered ‘Kusum Mendel’ and also inaugurated
the ‘Thongdrol Khangzang’ (Liberation Through Seeing Hall), which houses sacred
relics and personal items used by His Holiness during his lifetime.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">The
sacred enshrinement ceremony, attended by thousands of devotees, was marked by
solemn prayers and traditional Buddhist rituals. The golden reliquary stupa is
expected to remain an enduring spiritual site symbolising the legacy,
compassion and teachings of the Fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p>

Om Prakash Mathur paid his respects at Lukshyama Meditation Centre earlier in
