District administration prepares for upcoming bypolls in Soreng-Chakung

<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Book Antiqua&quot;,serif"><b>SORENG, (IPR): </b>Dhiraj Subedi, District Collector-cum-District Election Officer Soreng chaired a meeting with Nodal Officers, Sector Magistrates, and Sector Police Officers, to discuss the plans and arrangements for the upcoming bye-elections 2024 to the 07-Soreng-Chakung Assembly Constituency at District Administrative Centre, Soreng today.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Book Antiqua&quot;,serif">The meeting discussed all aspects of preparedness for the bye-elections 2024, which included manpower, training, materials, transportation, IT applications, law and order, EVM management, expenditure monitoring, and voting methods including postal and home voting.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Book Antiqua&quot;,serif">The DC-cum-DEO emphasised the various responsibilities assigned to the Nodal Officers along with Sector Magistrates, and Sector Police Officers. Additionally, Sector Police Officers were tasked with conducting joint inspections of polling stations with Sector Magistrates to ensure thoroughness.
