<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif"><b>GANGTOK,: </b>Governor Om Prakash Mathur attended the Rajya Puruskar Award Distribution
Ceremony of Bharat Scouts and Guides held at the conference hall of Lok Bhavan
today. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">During the
ceremony, the Governor presented the Rajya Puraskar Awards to 15 Guides and
nine Scouts of Sikkim, informs a Lok Bhavan release.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">Addressing the
gathering, the Governor congratulated the student awardees and said that the
Bharat Scouts and Guides Rajya Puraskar award is not just recognition but a
responsibility to continue serving with greater zeal. He exhorted them to
uphold the values of discipline, service and patriotism and work for a
stronger, united and developed India.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The Governor
highlighted its role in nurturing discipline, moral values, leadership
qualities and a spirit of service among the youth, the release mentions.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The Governor
said that the nation stands on the shoulders of its youth. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">"As Scouts
and Guides, you embody the spirit of 'Nation First.' This spirit must guide you
in every endeavour, inspiring you to contribute to the vision of Viksit
Bharat", said the Governor. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">He further
encouraged the youth to play a proactive role in contributing towards the
realisation of Viksit Bharat 2047. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The Governor
applauded the vibrant culture performances by the children with the theme of
"Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" where they showcased women empowerment
and Sikkim's rich cultural heritage. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">During the
programme, the students also shared their experiences. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The award
ceremony was attended by the State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides, D.B.
Chettri, State office bearers, scout masters, parents and Scouts & Guides
from the State, the release mentions.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p>
