UP govt school teachers on educational tour call on Governor

<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><b>GANGTOK,:</b><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif"> A delegation of government school teachers from various districts of Uttar Pradesh called on Governor Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhawan here today. They are in Sikkim for educational and adventure tour under the banner of the Basic Education Movement of India, a non-governmental organisation.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">During the interaction, they appraised Governor about their visit and shared their observation and experiences on Sikkim’s unique culture and natural beauty, informs a press release.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">In his brief address, the Governor warmly welcomed them and highlighted various aspects and developmental initiatives of Sikkim including organic farming, cleanliness, low crime against women, women empowerment, environmental conservation, rich cultural heritage and sustainable development. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">He mentioned about Sikkim's best practices and policies adopted by the State.
