Lok Sabha MP discuss Sikkim railway projects with Vaishnaw

<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Bookman Old Style&quot;,serif"><b>GANGTOK,:</b> Lok Sabha MP (Sikkim) Indra Hang Subba met Union Railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi to discuss key railway connectivity projects concerning Sikkim.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Bookman Old Style&quot;,serif">During the meeting, the Lok Sabha MP discussed the Final Location Survey (FLS) of the proposed railway line from Melli to Dentam. He apprised the Union Minister that although Sikkim is a small State with a relatively small population, the proposed railway line would be of immense importance for the people of the State. He emphasized that the project would significantly improve connectivity in the region and is also crucial from a national security perspective given Sikkim’s strategic location.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:&quot;Bookman Old Style&quot;,serif">Indra Hang also discussed the recently approved Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the railway line from Rangpo to Ranipool and stressed the importance of its early implementation.
