<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">GANGTOK, :</span></b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif"> Governor Om Prakash Mathur today visited Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple situated around 56 km from Gangtok and inaugurated the newly-constructed "Atithi Prangan" in temple premises. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">As part of CSR initiatives, Mothilal Oswal Foundation has constructed "Atithi Prangan" and other basic amenities in the temple premises for tourists and devotees. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">The Governor conveyed his appreciation and gratitude to Mothilal Oswal Foundation for constructing required facilities like landscaping, pathways, war memorial, Ganju Lama War Memorial, installation of the statue of Sagat Singh, tourist facilitation infrastructure viz; food courts with souvenir shops etc with the objective of integrated development of pilgrimage & heritage destination. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">In his brief address, the Governor stated that the construction of basic tourist infrastructure and war museum at the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple complex will go beyond tourism and provide an opportunity for visitors to engage with the armed forces’s history and it will serves as a reminder of the commitment of soldiers who defended the nation’s sovereignty.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">During his visit the Governor laid a wreath at the Sourya Sthal and paid tribute to Amar Jawans. He also interacted with army jawans and exhorted their duty with dedication in challenging border areas, responsibility and bravery. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">On the occasion, the Governor presented essential items to soldiers deployed in high altitude areas. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p> </p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">The commander of the 63 Mountain Brigade, Brigadier Amit Sharma, along with other senior army officers and officials from Gangtok district administrative were present during the programme.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
