<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif""><b>GANGTOK,: </b>Medhavi Skills University (MSU) successfully concluded its annual cultural fest, ‘Expression 2026’, held between March 31 and April 2. Cantered on the theme “The Colours of Northeast,” the three-day event celebrated the rich cultural diversity, creativity, and traditions of the seven Northeastern States, a press release informs.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">The fest was preceded by pre-event celebrations from March 20 to 30, featuring a host of competitions such as extempore, spell bee, face art, poetry reading, and dance, building momentum for the event finale.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">The first day began with an Inter-School Competition, bringing together 20+ schools from across Sikkim. Students participated in singing, dancing, extempore, and other events, setting an energetic tone for the fest.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">The penultimate day featured the inaugural ceremony graced by chief guest Major General Mahipal Singh Rathore, GOC, 17th Mountain Division, Indian Army, who addressed the students and later presented awards. The day featured events such as Miss & Mr Freshers, solo song (Eastern), solo dance (Western), skit and drama, cosplay. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), MSU, and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Suhag, Pro Vice Chancellor – Admin, along with senior leadership from the university, felicitated the winners with trophies during the closing ceremony.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">A standout moment of the fest was the performance by Sikkim’s young star Jetsen Dohna Lama, winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs (Season 9, 2023), known for her powerful vocals and international representation.
