<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif""><b>GANGTOK, </b>: ‘Shape of Momo’, the debut feature film by Sikkimese filmmaker TribenyRai, has been awarded the Best Fiction Film prize at the 5th edition of the PK Rosy Film Festival, held in Chennai. The award was announced on April 12 at the festival's closing ceremony.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">The PK Rosy Film Festival is founded and organised by filmmaker Pa Ranjith through his Neelam Cultural Centre in Chennai. It is named after PK Rosy, a Dalit actress who was the first woman to act in a Malayalam film. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">The festival is held every April as part of Vaanam, a month-long celebration of Dalit culture and history coinciding with Dalit History Month. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">Now in its fifth edition, it has established itself as one of the most significant independent film platforms in India for cinema that speaks from and for underrepresented communities.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style","serif"">“Our team is very happy and honoured to have received this award, especially because of everything this film festival represents.
