<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif;"><b>GANGTOK,:</b> Chungthang SDM Arun Chettri visited the ongoing road restoration work at
Tarum Chu, Lachen, being carried out by 86 RCC, GREF, to assess the progress of
efforts aimed at restoring connectivity to the region.</span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">During the
inspection, the SDM interacted with the Officer Commanding and other officials
of GREF to review the status of the restoration work and discuss the challenges
being faced on the ground.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">It was observed
that the restoration work is progressing smoothly and as per schedule, a press
release on Tuesday from the SDM Chungthang informs. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The SDM
emphasized the importance of timely completion of the project, considering the
hardships faced by the public due to the disruption of road connectivity.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">Officials of
the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) expressed confidence that the restoration
work would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and reiterated their
commitment to restoring connectivity as per the assurance given earlier.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">The district
administration continues to closely monitor the progress of the restoration
work to ensure the early resumption of road connectivity to Lachen, the release
states.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing">
