<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif"><b>GANGTOK,:</b> The DoNER ministry has launched four USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
initiatives for region-specific major cash crops of Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal
Pradesh, and Nagaland, altogether worth Rs. 592.79 crore, based on the success
of Sikkim organic farming.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">Building
on success of Sikkim Mission Organics, we have launched four more flagship USP
initiatives this month – the Rs 236 crore Tripura Queen Pineapple Mission, the
Rs 189.79 crore Mizoram Ginger Mission, the Rs 167 crore Arunachal Kiwi
Mission, and Mission “Coffees of Nagaland”, said Union DoNER minister
Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in his message released by the ministry.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">In
his May edition message, the Union DoNER minister was highlighted about his
visit to Sikkim, a State which he described as one of India’s most inspiring
examples of sustainable development, and a State that transformed its
mountainous geography into a model of ecological stewardship, organic
agriculture and responsible tourism.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">Scindia
had undertaken a three-day official visit of Sikkim from May 14 to 16, during
which he also attended the 51<sup>st</sup> Statehood Day celebrations along
with Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan at Gangtok.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">During
the visit, we launched Mission Sikkim Organics as DoNER ministry’s USP
initiative, a Rs. 360 crore convergence programme aimed at transforming Sikkim
into a globally integrated premium organic economy, said Scindia.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">The
Sikkim organic USP initiative has also been extended by the ministry to
Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland. These initiatives aim to
strengthen cultivation, processing, branding, cold-chain infrastructure,
exports and market access, while ensuring that greater value reaches farmers
and local communities.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">Meanwhile,
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay has extended his heartfelt gratitude to
the Union DoNER minister for his kind words and appreciation of Sikkim’s
progress and potential.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">“We
are deeply encouraged by his recognition of Sikkim’s achievements in
sustainable development, organic agriculture, ecological stewardship, and
responsible tourism. His support for transformative initiatives such as Mission
Sikkim Organics and various infrastructure and connectivity projects reflects
the Government of India’s unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of
our State,” said the Chief Minister.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">“On
behalf of the people of Sikkim, I convey our sincere thanks for his continued
guidance and support. Together, we remain committed to building a stronger,
greener, and more prosperous Sikkim while contributing meaningfully to the
progress of the North Eastern Region and the nation,” added the Chief Minister.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">According
to the Union DoNER minister, the ministry in recent months is focusing on
development of unique, globally competitive value chains rooted in the
strengths of each North Eastern State under the USP initiative. The Unique
Selling Proposition of each State was identified following extensive
discussions and detailed consultations with the respective Chief Ministers and
State governments. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">Scindia
highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra
Modi, and guided by the spirit of ‘Act East, Act Fast’, the Northeast is
steadily emerging as a vibrant gateway of growth, connectivity, cultural pride,
and strategic opportunity for a confident and future-ready India. The region’s
rise is visible in the growing confidence of its youth, farmers, entrepreneurs
and communities, he said.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p>
</p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Bookman Old Style",serif">As we
move forward to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the ministry remains
committed to work hand in hand with State governments, Central ministries and
all stakeholders to ensure that the North East continues to emerge as a region
