<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Georgia","serif""><b>GANGTOK,: </b>LokSabha MP (Sikkim) Indra Hang Subba, also a Member of the Joint
Parliamentary Committee (JPC) examining the Constitution (130th Amendment)
Bill, the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the
Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025, participated in the committee’s
study visit and consultations in New Delhi on Wednesday.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Georgia","serif"">The
study visit was conducted under the chairpersonship of AparajitaSarangi, MP and
Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, and involved a series of
interactions with key stakeholders at the Delhi Secretariat, a press release
informs.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Georgia","serif"">During
the programme, the Committee held discussions with representatives of the
Government of NCT of Delhi, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Law
& Justice, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Guru Gobind Singh
Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), and civil society organisation Common Cause.
The Committee also met with the Chief Minister of Delhi to deliberate on
matters relating to governance, administration, and the implications of the proposed
legislative amendments.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family:"Georgia","serif"">The
study visit forms part of the Committee’s wider efforts to undertake a
comprehensive review of the Bills and formulate recommendations for
consideration by Parliament, the release mentions.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p>
